Baby I’m going on an aeroplane

Baby I’m going on an aeroplane, and I don’t know if I’ll be back again.

Vienna: the Imperial City, the City of Music. At one point in time it was the centre of Europe as it was the capital of the Holy Roman Empire and later the capital of the Austro-Hungarian Empire with the Habsburg Dynasty in charge. The historical importance of this city can still be seen today and makes a visit oh so worth your while!

Butch

Long charming tables filled with loved ones, preferably in Miami, Paris, Istanbul or New York.
Past, present and future intertwine when stories are told. Furnished with laughter.

This rare image comes to life whenever Butch’s CEO Dominique Vindevogel isn’t busy roaming the globe to meet his exclusive clients. And yet, even when this scenario sets in, you might encounter Dominique working…secretly.

A Butterfly Beats Festival Collab

Festivals equal freedom. We all know the tales; we all lived them throughout the years.

Festivals even started taking freedom in building a certain atmosphere for the visitors. Think Thé Dansant Open Airs or bombastic Tomorrowland.

Butterfly Beats Festival in Gits (nearby Roeselare) is celebrating its 5th anniversary on Saturday 4th of July. The jubilee entails the organization playing the atmosphere card. Needless to say we likey!

We are talking fine collaborations with our very own Søndag (you know, that underground venue we cannot do without on Sundays), reduced ticket prizes, two stages and nothing but the finest “unts unts unts” flavours for your ears.

The Meister Sessions

A couple of weeks ago we were invited to experience the first Meister Session. The event had all the ingredients of a Quality First gathering! An exclusive co-creative workshop mixed with some delicious Jägermeister drinks located in the newest hotspot in Ghent, Mòris. Want to discover more about the latest Jägermeister artistic collab? Then keep on reading!

Sneakers, dj’s best friends

A good pair of sneakers is a househead’s best friend. Since they were primarily designed for sports or other forms of physical exercise, they make a great dancing shoe. But another big upside to sneakers is that they are fashionable items too! If you have a couple of pairs, you can match them with your outfit. Also, keeping your sneakers on rotation can only be good to them, because after a dancing night they can use a few days of rest. If you want to keep those ugly crease lines to a minimum, they need time to breathe and get back into shape.

Now, where to get those ‘I-would-never-go-out-without-them’-shoes? We did a little sneaker trip through Ghent and visited some shops!

Discreet Geometry

Night Shift events, amazing Søndag nights, heart-robing exhibitions, Fall/Winter 2015 collections… Wow, spring, nice job getting the creative juices flowing!

Num Nut invited Søndag

If you have a soft spot for sneakers, then I bet I might’ve spotted you last Saturday at Num Nut in Kortrijk! Geoffrey Claret, owner of the new sneaker store, invited Søndag with Endove and our very own Maxim Lany. Every sneaker and house music nut came over to have a blast… and to score some last minute sneaker sales!
Indeed, the store was packed! A review.

5 reasons to Søndag this week!

To be completely honest here: you actually need to be at Søndag every week. 2015 has been nothing short of spectacular for the latest addition to Belgian nightlife so far. It all started on the first day of the year: a perfect night carried by nothing but local talent like Clerckie and Lomme. Then there was Raving George, B-EATS with Iris Menza and last week Leesa. All memorable nights but… The best is yet to come! Here are five reasons why you need to be at Søndag this week:

Flux

If you share our soft spot for newest trends, events or movements, The House Academy is your one stop shop. Birds of a feather flock together. Therefore, it only seems naturally that we retrieve the same chromosomes in our closest friends, yet they all hold their own expertise. Art, for example.

Love Kortrijk

Last thursday was a special night for me. I hosted an event in decadance dedicated to my hometown Kortrijk. The turn-out was huge, the music was perfect and the vibe was amazing. All of which made me very proud. The city is really working it’s way up and building a great image as the city of design. Here’s a couple of cool new places to be in the city.
